Unconscious Bias Training
What is this program?
Unconscious bias is the tendency of our brains to make quick judgments and assessments about people and situations based on our past experiences, cultural background, and societal norms.
These hidden biases can lead us to make assumptions and decisions that are not based on facts and can result in unintentional discrimination and inequality.
This workshop is informed by evidence-based research on unconscious bias and cognitive decision-making. Participants learn that bias is a natural mental habit, not a personal failing, and are guided to recognise, reflect on, and mitigate these patterns in practical ways that enhance fairness, inclusion, and sound decision-making.
Attend one of our introductory sessions below to build foundational understanding of unconscious bias and get a feel for our approach.
You can also book a place in our upcoming full-day, in-person workshop in Melbourne.
If neither option is the right fit and you’re exploring an in-house session for your organisation, book a discovery call 💡.

One-day in-person session for up to 24 participants
This workshop is best delivered as a full-day, in-person session to maximise the impact of its experiential components and ensure effective content delivery.
If you’re organisation is not able to commit to a full day, the session can be adapted into a half-day program, capped at 15 participants.
We’re currently developing an online version of this workshop, delivered to a single cohort across multiple shorter sessions over a few weeks. Please get in touch for details.
Short, introductory sessions are also available.
See below for upcoming public session dates.

Intro to Unconscious Bias
-
A thoughtful starting point to a complex topic.
Most of us care deeply about fairness and making good decisions. And yet, unconscious bias still shows up in everyday judgement, often in quiet, unexpected ways.
This 90-minute session is an engaging introduction designed to help you see unconscious bias more clearly, understand why it’s so human, and get a sense of what meaningful learning in this space can look like.
Think of it as a thoughtful starting point. A moment to pause, notice, and get curious.
-
In this session, we’ll explore:
Explore what makes unconscious bias such a tricky topic to navigate
How fast, automatic thinking shapes everyday decisions at work
Reframe bias in a way that feels more human and less confronting
Get a brief glimpse into how our brains shape judgement and decision-making
Experience a light taster of how bias can be noticed and worked with in practice
What participants often say afterwards
A clearer way of thinking about unconscious bias
Language that makes it easier to talk about bias without blame
New questions they hadn’t considered before
Curiosity about what deeper learning could unlock for their team or organisation
Many describe it as eye-opening, thought-provoking, and unexpectedly practical.
-
This introductory session is designed for:
Professionals and leaders wanting a thoughtful introduction
Organisations exploring how to approach bias in a constructive way
Teams looking for a shared starting point and common language
No prior experience required.
Learning orientation
By the end of this session, participants will have
A stronger mental model for understanding unconscious bias
Greater awareness of how thinking patterns influence decisions
Context for what effective next-step learning can involve
-
Live online session (90 minutes)
$49 per person
Capped at 30 participants
Minimum 10 participants required for the session to run
If minimum numbers aren’t reached, you’ll be offered a transfer or full refund.

This session is designed as a taster.
It offers a focused, practical entry point into understanding unconscious bias, how it shows up in everyday workplace decisions, and what helps in real moments. Participants leave with useful insights and shared language they can apply straight away.
For some individuals and organisations, this session also becomes a natural first step toward deeper work. It provides enough experience to decide whether a more in-depth half-day or full-day program would be valuable, and what kind of focus would best suit their context.
Start with an introductory session to explore unconscious bias and experience our approach.
Choose a session time that suits you and book your place.
Tickets are $49. To keep the session engaging and conversational, each session runs with a minimum of 10 participants and is capped at 30.
