In collaboration with The Equality Project, this exclusive one-day affair offers a vibrant lineup of activities including guest speakers, film screenings, music, and dancing, catering to ABBA enthusiasts of all ages.
As we mark the 50th anniversary of ABBA's iconic win at the 1974 Eurovision Song Contest with their smash hit "Waterloo," ABBA Day Downunder promises to immerse you in the enchanting world of ABBA like never before.
Established in 2014, The Choir by ABBA The Museum continues to uphold ABBA's musical legacy. Through their performances, the Choir pays homage to the timeless tunes that have captured the hearts of music aficionados worldwide.
The festivities kick off at 10:00 am with an exclusive film screening of ABBA the Movie, followed by insightful talks. Then, prepare to be dazzled by a two-hour performance by The Choir by ABBA The Museum, culminating in an electrifying dance party featuring all your favorite ABBA classics!

ABBA THE MOVIE - Relive the excitement and magic of ABBA’s legendary 1977 Australian tour on the big screen in Digital High Definition. Filmed in 1977 in Australia and Sweden, ABBA The Movie tells the story of Ashley the DJ's attempts to obtain an exclusive interview with ABBA during the tour. The film showcases ABBA’s historic and then record breaking live concerts across Australian stadiums.
GUEST SPEAKERS - Ingmarie Halling. ABBA’s friend, wardrobe and make up assistant on their tours, and curator of ABBA THE MUSEUM in Sweden. Ingmarie will join us via video link and share with us some insights and stories from her time working with ABBA and her trip to Australia. She will show us some of the clothes worn by the group on their Australian tour.
ABBA Super Fans - Original fans from the 70’s share their memories of the tour and show case some of their favourite rare memorabilia and collector items.
THE CHOIR by ABBA The MUSEUM - Formed in 2014, The Choir by ABBA the Museum, comprising 12 members, will perform live on stage many of the iconic songs that have made their way into our hearts.
ABBA THE DANCE PARTY - Here’s your chance to boogie as our famous Swedish DJ Johan Røisland spins all your favourite ABBA dance hits and more in this disco extravaganza.
