Strange times call for new plans.
The COVID-19 pandemic has thrown our entire events program in 2020 into disarray. We’ve had to postpone our Better Together Training Academy multiple times and cancel a number of events in at least two cities. In the interest of the health and safety of our communities and after much discussion with our venue partners, sponsors and other stakeholders we have made the following changes to our calendar:
TRAINING
Advocacy 101 in Adelaide, Sydney, Melbourne and Cairns will be postponed in 2020. Below are the new training dates in 2021. We have added Brisbane to the list:
CAIRNS: 21-24 March 2021
BRISBANE: 25-26 March 2021
MELBOURNE: 29-30 March 2021
ADELAIDE: 31 March - 1 April 2021
SYDNEY: 15-16 April 2021
In the meantime, we will be running the GLAAD Media Engagement 101 module titled “Building Media Strategy for Long-Term Change” as an online program delivered over two parts on the 1st and 8th October 2020. All registered attendees to our Advocacy 101 training program will be given free access to this course. Find out more.
Our Be The Change transformative leadership training program will still go ahead in Canberra on 16-18 November 2020. However, the sold-out Melbourne program will be postponed and delivered sometime in 2021.

CONFERENCE
Originally slated for 15-16 January 2021, Better Together 2021 will now be rescheduled to 18-19 June 2021 at the Adelaide Convention Centre with the pre-conference day on 17 June 2021 at U-City Function Centre, Adelaide.
