Better Together 2023

We’re thrilled to announce our 5th National LGBTIQ+ Conference, Better Together™ 2023, will be back in Adelaide on 17-18 February 2023, ahead of Sydney World Pride, at the Adelaide Convention Centre, Adelaide, South Australia.

We warmly invite you to be part of Better Together™ 2023 and participate in a truly intersectional discussion that tackles the important issues facing Australia’s LGBTIQ+ movement. Come to Adelaide to learn, share, and forge meaningful connections to drive positive change for Australia’s LGBTIQ+ communities.

The conference will feature an exciting new program that will include fascinating workshops, compelling panel discussions and a new format we’re calling Better Think which is modelled on the 20-minute Ted Talk. The conference will be attended by advocates, allies, businesses and community organisations from all around Australia. In 2023, we’re welcoming the return of speakers and performers from the USA, UK and Asia.

We welcome the entire LGBTIQA+ community to attend and in particular LGBTIQA+ people from rural and regional Australia, from multicultural and multifaith communities, Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander communities, the Deaf community and people with a lived experience of disability. Partial and full scholarships are available!

Are you interested in presenting a session?

We’re now calling for conference presenters. If you have a great idea for a talk, an exciting workshop you want to run or an insightful Q&A panel you want to host, we want to hear from you. Propose a session here. The deadline for submissions is 29 July 2022.
